The Model

I first chose the model, Jennie Kim, to create my photo manipulation. I then cut her out to have a clean canvas of just her face.

Inspiration part 1

Inspiration part 2

For my first photo manipulation, I was inspired by Shawn Mendes’ album art and ultimately wanted to recreate it. I simply cut out parts of her face and moved them, with the empty space I filled them with flowers to create the effect.

For the second photo, I was inspired by Tiktok’s logo with the glitch effect. I mainly watched a video on how to achieve this effect, but all it took was to create some layers, cut out pieces and blend them together.

Inspiration part 3

For the final photo, I initially lacked a clear direction but drew inspiration from double exposure photography to create the final composition. This phase was the most challenging, as it required advanced techniques such as layering, blending, and working with vector masks to achieve the desired effect.

Outcome

This class provided me with foundational Photoshop skills, which I was able to apply and refine through this specific project.
